By focusing on maintaining cognition for wellness, brain health coaching sessions aim to help individuals change their brains and their lives, as well as offer an alternative to more clinical assessments by identifying individuals’ areas for improvement to support a brain healthy lifestyle.
Brain Health Coaching sessions utilize a variety of tools to help participants understand modifiable lifestyle factors that can be addressed to support their personal brain health and wellness journey.
Individuals will be able to better understand their current cognition and brain health and how our programs can support their individual needs and brain health goals.
After all, “When your brain works right, you work right.”- Dr. Daniel Amen, M.D.

A memory screening is a simple and safe “healthy brain check-up” that tests memory and other thinking skills. The memory screening is a series of questions and/or tasks that takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and can indicate if someone might benefit from a comprehensive medical evaluation.
Screenings are also appropriate for individuals who want to see how their memory currently is and to gain a baseline measurement of their performance. It is not used to diagnose any particular illness and does not replace consultation with a physician or other clinician.
Our Center is registered as a Community Awareness-Raising and Education Site (C.A.R.E.S.) with the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. The purpose of community memory screenings is to offer FREE memory screenings to individuals that are concerned about their memory or cognition or individuals seeking ways to be proactive about their brain health through a healthy brain check-up.
Aspects of mild memory changes or forgetfulness are normal aspects of aging but when changes in memory or forgetfulness impact an individual’s daily routine more serious health issues might be present.
The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America recommends that individuals who respond “yes” to any of the following questions could benefit from a memory screening:
Anyone with concerns about their memory can utilize the services of our memory-screening center throughout the year.
We offer memory screenings on the first and third Wednesday of each month.

"Much of what you see happening at Menorah Park would not be possible without donor support. Charlotte’s Tai Chi class at the R.H. Myers Apartments wouldn’t happen. Andrew would be in his room without his specialized power wheelchair. Rita would have to be in the nursing home without the activities..."
