thank you
Menorah Park and Montefiore of Menorah Park are now one integrated foundation and will continue to honor the rich philanthropic legacy of all of our past benefactors.
The importance of giving and supporting Menorah Park is all in the family for Judy Weiss. Judy remembers when her dad, Menorah Park Board Member Irving Stone became involved with Menorah Park years ago. “Dad knew what an asset and necessity Menorah Park was. When board members discussed the innovative new concept of assisted living in the early ‘90s, he recognized its merit and became dedicated to the project. Thus, Stone Gardens Assisted Living came to be.”
Irving Stone, chairman of American Greetings, was a doer. He appreciated Cleveland and the Jewish community and sought opportunities to lend support.
“Menorah Park expressed their gratitude to Dad, but it was Dad who was truly grateful. Menorah Park gave him the opportunity to do something he loved,” Judy remembers fondly.
When Menorah Park saw a deeper need for assisted living services specifically for people with memory loss, Judy saw an opportunity to get involved herself. Due to the experience of memory loss of her dad’s second wife, Helen, Judy understood the profound needs of individuals suffering from memory loss and their caregivers. By supporting the opening of Helen’s Place, she knew she was making a difference for individuals just like Helen while honoring her memory.
“There is nothing like the Menorah Park campus. We never say we can’t be better. We’re driven to excellence because of our shared love for our community.”
Please consider doing what Judy’s dad did and explore a naming opportunity and provide an important legacy at Menorah Park. Our staff would be happy to work with you to find the most meaningful option.
