Care Planning for the Future: The Importance of Discussing Values and Preferences (Beginner)
Silvia Orsulic-Jeras, M.A.
January 17 from 10:00am - 11:00am
Making decisions about your health and care as you age is important. Research suggests it is best to make some of our healthcare decisions earlier in our lives, before a crisis occurs. Making decisions during a crisis can often lead to poorer quality of care received, and can result in us making quick decisions about a loved one’s care without knowing what they would have wanted. This presentation will discuss different types of care plans, how to have healthcare related discussions with our family and friends, and how to create a future plan of care for yourself or your family.
