Menorah Park Number One Nursing Home in County, Top 1% in Ohio

Menorah Park Rated Best Nursing Home in the County

Among Top One Percent in Ohio

{Beachwood, OH} With Excellence in Caring as the most powerful mission a nursing home and health care campus can live up to, findings from a study by U.S. News and World Report released this week confirm Menorah Park is at number #1 in Cuyahoga County and number #2 of 130 in Ohio, in taking the best medical and rehabilitative care of adults as they age. There were only six other homes located in Cuyahoga County on the list, with the next closest to Menorah Park at 57. The 130 "top performing" homes had overall ratings of 4.5 or greater.

As Northeast Ohio’s trusted provider of award-winning health and wellness services, individual attention to medical, emotional, social and intellectual needs has placed Menorah Park nationally among the top four percent of senior care centers. A dedicated team provides information, guidance and direct care up to and even during the final stages of life, with a wide variety of programs, services and support to meet each individual’s needs.

Jim Newbrough, Menorah Park CEO, stated, “We have always and will continue to provide more than the best care to our residents; we honor each resident as we would our own parents, with our hearts and true caring.”

To rate the homes, U.S. News used data from Nursing Home Compare, a program run by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The nursing homes were rated "poor" to "top-performing" on a scale of 1 to 5, and were evaluated by averaging monthly data over a year, with emphasis on strong performance in medical quality measures. Additionally, homes had to provide significantly more than the required minimum of rehabilitation therapy. All rated homes accept residents covered by Medicaid, Medicare or both.
