Jewish History: From Exile to Return
The Babylonian Exile is the name typically given to the deportation of the Jews from the ancient Kingdom of Judah and their exile to Babylon. The captivity and subsequent return to Israel are povotal events in teh history of hte Jews and Judaism and had far reaching impact on the development of modern Jewish culture and practice.

Clevelanders in the Civil War
"It's not about the war...it's about the People." Come and enjoy an entertaining and informative "Who's Who" of a variety of 19 century citizens, their lives before the rebellion, during the war, and as post-war civilians in the Gilded Age of Cleveland.

The Revival of the Hebrew Language: How Did It Come About?
It is commonly thought that Hebrew "died" after the destruction of the Second Temple, and thereafter served mainly as a language of prayer. This is wrong; we will discuss the challenges of transforming an ancient language into what is today a living, vibrant and ever-growing modern language.

A Huge effort has been put into making devices to measure time with ever increasing accuracy from the beginning of recorded history to the rpesent day. What is time? How is time measured? What does time mean to you?

History of the English Language - Part Two
